Upon discovering the NGPA, many people feel as if they have found where they belong.
That's because the NGPA is about community.

We are a home for LGBTQ people with a love for aviation; we are a vehicle that connects those with shared passions. We invite you to join our family and connect with people from many different backgrounds, all of whom have found a shared home at NGPA.

General Aviation

General Aviation members are the cornerstone of NGPA, and many General Aviation members first come into contact with the NGPA through their involvement with one of our many local chapters. In recognition of the important role of General Aviation, the NGPA strives to provide support and enrichment by sponsoring local fly-ins, private pilot scholarships, and interesting General Aviation speakers at our events.

FLY-IN Events

NGPA Annually hosts Fly-in events at our Cape Cod Classic and Palm Springs events. Plus, new for 2024, join us at Wings over Florida June 16-18. We are working to host more fly-in opportunities at our local chapter level as well.

Education

NGPA currently hosts a GA focused breakout annually in Provincetown as well as GA inclusive breakouts at our Industry Expo events. These seminars include topics like aircraft purchase, maintenance, financial planning, estate planning, and more.

Mentorship

Our Ascend Mentorship program supports GA aviators of all levels, and encourages you to join to support or get support from your fellow members.

Keynote Speaker Series

NGPA has worked collaboratively to make sure our strong commitment to General Aviation is reflected in the keynote addresses at our flagship events. Since 2012, we have had general aviation experts and advocates discuss Supreme Court cases against the FAA, transgender issues, and ditching planes over the Pacific Ocean, just to name a few.

Focused General Aviation Panels

NGPA provides opportunities for additional General Aviation education, growth, and outreach at our flagship events through workshops and panels. These have included preventative maintenance, building and growing successful local groups, ADS-B weather technology, mitigating skill degradation, flight planning, and much more.

General Aviation Networking

Beginning in 2015, we starting reserving tables at our dinner banquets exclusively for members whose interests are primarily networking within the General Aviation community. This has been well-received as an excellent way to meet and network with other aviators who share common interests and passions.
