Piedmont Airlines Supports 2016 NGPA Pride

SALISBURY, MD, May 10, 2016--Piedmont Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Airlines Group Inc., is proud to announce its status as a Gold Sponsor and official regional airline of 2016 NGPA Pride events across the country.

“Our sponsorship of the National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) represents our commitment to equality and inclusion,” said Lyle Hogg, Piedmont president. “American Airlines has long been an advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) customers and employees, and we are committed to following that lead.”

NGPA will be appearing throughout the United States at several major pride events including events in Washington, D.C., Chicago and New York in June.

“I’m very excited to have Piedmont Airlines strongly support NGPA’s mission and core values and join forces with the largest LGBT aviation organization.” said NGPA’s Executive Director, David Pettet. “Having the support of leading industry airlines is a strong bond that we can use to be advocates and a voice for our members in creating equality in the skies, while showing our pride.”
